We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry and be capable of working on a variety of projects, from residential homes to commercial buildings. The Carpenter will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand tools and power tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as framing, flooring, doors, cabinets, and siding.
- Install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Build and install foundations, walls, roofs, and other structural elements.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in all carpentry work.
- Use appropriate tools and materials to complete assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Good math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training is a plus.
