Job Purpose
Technical documents review, determining casting plan, the pattern design, the molding details, the feeding system (methoding). Defining the Work Instructions, Travelers, and SOPs of Pattern shop, Molding and assembly, Pouring, and Weld repair for operations.
Job Responsibilities
Technical
- Creating WI (Work Instructions), SOP ND Travelers for production of parts in casting shop
- Defining and preparing the technical requirements for each sub-section
- Conducting Magma analysis
- Determining parting lines, feeding systems, mold assembly SOP, and pattern design
- Developing MPS (Manufacturing Process Schedule) considering the commercial feasibility.
- Heat treatment process design & creation of work instruction
- Attending regular meetings with production team and job managers, engineers for explaining the WI and MPS
- Preparation of welding procedure
- Preparation & management of technical manual
- Support in Developing and implementing a plan to produce initial products
- Developing pre-production methods and providing technical support for prototype production and evaluation in collaboration with the factory
- Trouble shooting & Improvement of casting process
Quality
- Defining product quality standards throughout the Casting process.
- Preparing the necessary EHS requirements for Casting Shop
- Collaborating with quality control teams to address any quality-related issues and implement corrective measures.
- Analysis of quality problems and establishment of countermeasures
- Supporting in establishing the factory organizational structure
- Supporting in acquiring the certification and qualifications required
Process Optimization
- Identifying the opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
- Analyze data and performance metrics to optimize melting parameters and maximize yield.
- Implement new techniques, technologies, or equipment upgrades to improve Casting processes.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of casting operations, including process parameters, production data, and quality tests
- Provide regular updates and analysis to management regarding process improvements and operational issues
- Providing technical support for product documentation creation at each factory and reviewing the produced documentation
- Reviewing the results of the development of the qualification certification process for special process operators, non-destructive testing personnel, and quality inspection personnel, and providing feedback as necessary
Technical support for sales team
- Supporting the review of manufacturing feasibility for items targeted for estimation for sales support from production perspective.
- Support in reviewing and designing the production process for quoting products to meet customers technical requirements and providing education.
- Supporting and participating in technical meetings with the technical engineers when technical support is requested by the sales team.
Adaptability to fulfill any other job responsibilities as required by the company.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science,.
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in casting and molding processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of EAR furnace operations, Refining, VD and metallurgical principles.
- Strong understanding of pit molding (20 tons+)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in a similar role is highly preferred.
