We are looking for a Change and Configuration Manager who is responsible for overseeing the processes related to managing changes in an IT environment and ensuring accurate configuration management. Their primary role is to control and coordinate modifications to systems, applications, and infrastructure to minimize disruption and maintain operational stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change Management:
- Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of changes, from initiation through approval, implementation, and closure.
- Ensuring that all changes are logged, evaluated for potential impacts, and approved by relevant stakeholders before implementation.
- Reducing the risks associated with changes by enforcing structured processes and best practices.
- Conducts regular Change Advisory Board (CAB) Meetings
- Conducting post-change reviews to ensure changes were successful and learning lessons for future improvements.
- Configuration Management:
- Maintaining a comprehensive and accurate database (Federated CMDB) of all IT assets and their relationships.
- Ensuring that all IT infrastructure and services are properly identified, documented, and updated in the CMDB.
- Managing configuration items (CIs) such as hardware, software, documentation, and network configurations to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
- Supporting impact analysis by providing accurate configuration data to assess the potential effects of changes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders across IT and the business.
- Experience in managing change advisory boards (CAB) and enforcing governance around changes.
- Familiarity with configuration management database maintenance including tools and practices.
