It s important that everyone understands the menus and recipes and how to execute the dishes available. We can all see if the hotel is busy or not, but not everyone knows what goes on behind the scenes and what everything actually costs to run. You will use your creativity to bring this information to life for everyone in the hotel to understand the true picture and what needs to be achieved.
You ll be working with a friendly, motivated team who you will recruit and lead with your distinctive style and work with them to develop their full potential and ensure everyone provides genuine heartfelt care to our guests.
Regarding the role and responsibilities, you will need to perform the followings.
Administration/Technical Responsibilities
Perform all activities within a Restaurant Kitchen area, ensuring a safe, smooth running and profitable operation within the framework of the Hotel.
Support the development of Restaurant concepts and standards. Be familiar with local market & suppliers.
Recommend menu changes according to seasonal product availability.
Maintain food safety & protection. All food in working areas should be following food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
Take responsibility for asset management of all outlet property and facilities.
Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels, providing team members the training and resources to take care of our guests.
Promote positive inter-departmental relations through candid communication and cooperation.
Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
Maintain food safety and protection, to include dating, proper storage and rotation, etc.
Always maintain outlet safety.
It will be a physical role and although there are the usual meetings, briefings and of course reports to run, you will need to be on your feet maximum of the day in the hotel, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. You will need to speak English for this specific role, and looking at your next move we would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it s not essential just yet.
HOW DO I WOW MY GUESTS
You are responsible for knowing your guests and their preferences. You need to ensure you and your team provide the wow factor to all of them when they enter the hotel. You need to work with your teams to bring that personal touch to their stay and make them feel home away from home.
