Position Overview:
The Consolidation and Financial Reporting Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial statements and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role demands a meticulous and experienced professional who can manage complex financial data, comply with regulatory requirements, and provide strategic insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the consolidation of financial statements for the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present consolidated financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Coordinate with various departments and subsidiaries to gather financial information and ensure consistent reporting across the organization.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure the company's compliance with these changes.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial consolidation and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (EGYGAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing a team.
