Our client is one of the leading names, providing services to the Oil & Gas domain. Established in 2007, and having a global presence across the UAE, Egypt, Oman, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, Switzerland and USA, the group has diversified their services across various sectors such as Infrastructure, Renewable Energy and Telecommunications.
They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer for one of their businesses, an EPC company, established in 2017 in Abu Dhabi. The company is currently executing several EPC projects, primarily for a leading Oil company, in both greenfield and brownfield areas and is poised for substantial growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the oil and gas sector in the UAE, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing complex projects.
The role is based in Abu Dhabi
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the companys strategic vision and long-term goals to align with ADNOCs investment plans and the UAE market.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand service offerings and strengthen client relationships.
- Project Management:
- Oversee all EPC projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Implement best practices in project management and ensure effective resource allocation.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure the company's profitability and sustainability through effective financial strategies.
- QHSSE and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and risk management across all operations.
- Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders in the UAE.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure client satisfaction throughout project execution.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead a diverse team of engineers, project managers, and support staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that promotes teamwork and innovation.
- Innovation and Sustainability:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements relevant to the UAE market.
- Integrate sustainable practices into the company's operations and project execution.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure contingency plans are in place for all major projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with significant experience in an EPC role, particularly in the UAE or Gulf region.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of successful project management.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of UAE industry regulations and safety standards.
