JOB DESCRIPTION CIVIL ENGINEER- Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
- Conduct site investigations/surveys and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
- Forecasting design and construction timeline
- Assess potential risks, materials and costs
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
- Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Handle over the resulting structures and services for use
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required throughout the design and construction stages.
- Managing repair and maintenance of infrastructure projects
- SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS MECHANICAL ENGINEER
- A degree in Civil Engineering; MSc is a plus
- Proven working experience in civil engineering
- Hands-on experience using design and calculation software
- Advanced mathematical skills for calculation of design equations
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers
- Writing skills for preparing manuals, parts lists, proposals and design documentation
- Problem-solving abilities and ability to supervise helpers
- Focus and concentration to understand complex mechanical systems
- Self-motivation to keep up with current mechanical advances using new technologies
- Using industry-specific tools to analyze and test mechanical equipment and components
- Time-management skills for meeting deadlines
- Understanding of mechanical engineering codes and safety standards
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc.
- Project management and supervision skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
