Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming throughout the museum.
Focus on high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, handrails, and interactive displays to reduce the risk of germ transmission.
Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, ensuring they are well-stocked with soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Empty trash bins and replace liners, disposing of waste properly.
Dust and wipe down exhibits, displays, and artifacts to maintain a clean and attractive appearance.
Pay attention to floor care, ensuring floors are free of debris and spills.
Clean and sanitize play areas and interactive spaces to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for children.
Clean windows and glass surfaces for a clear view.
Keep track of lost and found items, ensuring proper storage and prompt return to owners.
Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning efforts and maintain a consistent level of cleanliness.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Interact with visitors in a friendly and approachable manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
Assist in cleaning and preparing the museum for special events or activities.
Be flexible and adaptable to changing cleaning priorities or tasks.
Pay attention to detail to ensure all areas, including less visible spaces, are clean and well-maintained.
Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored properly.
Assist with laundry duties as needed.
Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred.- Be able to read, write and speak English.
Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
