Job Description

Clinical Psychologist:

DHA, CDA or DHCC licensed

Expertise required for 3 roles

  • Child Therapist - children 12 and younger
  • Eating disorders for children 12 and older
  • Couples therapy

Arabic and Native English speakers are mandatory in order to add and complement the existing multicultural team. This team must be able to communicate in the multiple languages to service their diverse patient base.

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Clinical Psychologist to join their dynamic team. As a Clinical Psychologist you will play a crucial role in helping individuals cope with various mental health challenges, promote psychological well-being, and enhance overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to understand the client's emotional, behavioral, and cognitive functioning.
  2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  3. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic care for clients.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.
  6. Stay informed about the latest developments in the field of psychology and integrate new research findings into clinical practice.
  7. Offer crisis intervention and support during emergency situations, demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor.
  8. Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, fostering understanding and empowerment.
  9. Engage in ongoing professional development and pursue relevant certifications to enhance clinical skills.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree or Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  2. Current licensure as a psychologist with the DHA, CDA or DCC
  3. Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse client populations.
  5. Knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal standards governing the practice of psychology.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with other professionals.
  7. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.
  8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
  9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals achieve their mental health goals.
