Job Description

Key responsibilities of the role

Managerial/Administration:

  • Support the development of the department strategic plans, which also align with the objectives of the Clinical department and ensures they are consistent with the mission and vision of the facility's strategic plan.
  • Responsible for recruitment of Radiology, Laboratory and Pharmacy professionals with relative knowledge and expertise to deliver quality care.
  • Maintains continuing quality assessment and improvement analysis and evaluation of patient care delivery and communicates with senior management on the activities/issues of Clinical Support Services.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all clinical colleagues within and across the organization.
  • Ensures just in time recruitment, selecting staff that have the appropriate technical capabilities and licenses and are aligned with the organization's aspirations as a quality provider of services.

Technical:

  • Maintains close coordination with all inter-related departments to ensure continuity and collaboration of services.
  • Participate in various committees, related to clinical patient care. Participate in projects and policy decisions that affect patient care.
  • Contribute to organisational decision making that is consistent with the values, vision, mission and standards of practice and quality outcomes of the facility.
  • Experience in insurance billing and reimbursement is desired.

Quality & Safety:

  • Evaluates factors related to safety, outcomes, effectiveness, cost, and social impact when developing and implementing practice innovations.
  • Participates in projects, equipment, staff and policy decisions that affect patient care.
  • Monitors and evaluates appropriate utilization of staff. Ability to coach, influence and mentor the different reporting teams to strive for excellence in service and quality
  • Ensure standards of practice are met; policies, procedures and job descriptions are followed, and staff have essential knowledge and skills to deliver safe quality patient care.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPIs of patient care

Education:

  • Identify training needs and approve appropriate in-service programs to ensure constant knowledge updates and refreshment.
  • Promotes professional staff development by setting up a program of clinical teaching, initiating research, making annual assessment of the professionals in the department to evaluate the success and setting up an orientation. Program for new staff.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

  • Clinical Qualificiation (Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Nursing) Not Less Than 3 years study duration from an accredited program)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in clinical field / Health Services Management.
  • Related to clinical field of qualification, i.e. pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, nursing will be advantageous.
  • Not Less Than 5 years post graduate; Not Less Than 3 years in a related position.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian Healthcare Regulations.
  • The ability to influence and implement change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Organized and able to work methodically.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Able to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
