Job Description

Position Overview:

Spencer Interiors and Contracting LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitout Contracts and commercial Manager (on part-time basis or as freelancers ) to oversee the contractual aspects of our fitout projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract management, negotiation, and compliance within the fitout industry. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Key Responsibilities:
Develop, negotiate, and manage all contracts related to fitout projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all contracts adhere to company policies, legal standards, industry regulations and address any deviations.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts and projects, ensuring all stakeholders are aware and protected.
  • Evaluate contract variations and ensure timely submission and processing of claims in compliance with contractual obligations.
Review the adequacy and accuracy of bonds, guarantees, and insurance policies.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance, ensuring projects are completed within agreed-upon budgets.
Prepare bids and proposals, coordinating with relevant departments to gather necessary information.
  • Draft, review, and execute contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Conduct quality inspections and control processes to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Generate and submit detailed reports on contract performance, variations, claims etc.
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Lead change management initiatives to adapt to evolving project and contract requirements.
Mediate conflicts and disputes related to contracts, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve issues that may impact contract performance or project delivery.
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance contract management efficiency and to achieve operational excellence.
  • Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in contract management within fitout or construction industry.
  • willing to work as freelancer or on part-time basis.
