Our client is seeking dedicated
Commis Chefs to join their dynamic kitchen team at a sushi restaurant in
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidates will have a keen interest in Japanese cuisine and a desire to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation of sushi and other Japanese dishes.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required for menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Learn and apply proper sushi techniques and presentation skills.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring timely and efficient food preparation.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and stock rotation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef/Junior Chef or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- A passion for Japanese cuisine and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
