Job Description
We are looking for a resourceful team player who is analytical and has good negotiation skills. To take the role of a Commodities Trader and be responsible for the day-to-day trading activities, which include executing trading activities based on trading plans, portfolio positions and market conditions. The successful candidate must have a sound understanding of the commodity market that supports portfolio optimization and trading activities. In order to be considered you must be familiar with trade operations and be able to identify opportunities that could enhance local and regional trade portfolio positions. Finally, you will be expected to maintain good business relationships with all our trade partners.
Day-to-day
monitor commodity prices, trends and other factors affecting the supply and demand for commodities.

Considerations
Stressful. No one day is the same. Your main focus will be on the commodities markets, which can fluctuate significantly, risking both gains and losses.
Some key job duties of a commodity trader (grains) may include:
Tracking the market performance at domestic and international scales
Buying and selling goods (grains) at a price the client agrees on
Providing advice to clients about buying, selling, or investing
Analyzing various reports about the market
Developing strategies for investment
Visiting shippers, producers, and retailers in domestic and international settings
Operating tools and platforms for trading
Understanding and developing futures contracts
Communicating with clients throughout the trading process
Maintaining professional relationships with clients
Tasks
Analyze commodity portfolio to identify trading opportunities.
Apply latest technology to improve operations.
Apply organization s controls to safeguard commodity portfolio positions.
Apply relevant commodity trading strategies to guide trade positions during various market trends or economic conditions.
Build good business relationships with existing networks and possible trade partners.
Collaborate with the Derivative Trading team to manage risks arising from structured trades.
Collaborate with the Market Analysis team to form buying or selling decisions.
Collaborate with the Operations team to handle the physical settlement of commodity.
Conduct negotiations on buying or selling activities.
Execute targeted trade partnering implementation plan.
Execute trades that are within permitted rates in accordance with portfolio objectives.
Implement internal trade guidelines to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and legislations.
Monitor activities of trade partners against contract terms and identify performance problems or contractual issues.
Monitor supply and demand factors that affect trades and valuations.
Operate new technologies, electronic tools, and devices.
Perform appropriate valuation methods to assess commodity valuation.
Prepare periodic portfolio status reports.
Provide assistance in ongoing review of records and information to determine effectiveness of work processes.
Resolve trade contracts, disputes, or performance issues at the operational level.
Support continuous work improvement activities and performance improvement strategies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Profile:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Supply chain
Work Experience of 1 to 7 years
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
High Level of written and spoken English is a must
High Level of written and Spoken Arabic is a must
