Urgent Job Opportunity!

We are seeking an experienced Compliance AML Monitoring Officer to join a major financial institution in Switzerland. Reporting to the Compliance Department, this role is critical in ensuring our adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-terrorist financing regulations. The Officer will analyse transactions, monitor alerts from filtering systems, conduct investigations, and liaise with authorities as necessary to maintain compliance standards.

Responsibilities:
-Analyse and monitor transactions presenting high-risk factors related to compliance with embargoes and AML regulations. Conduct additional clarification processes with the first line of defense.
-Review occurrences flagged by filtering and screening solutions, taking appropriate action based on analysis results.
-Control post-trade Know Your Transaction (KYT) alerts to detect and prevent potential money laundering activities.
-Conduct investigations into suspicious activities, preparing necessary communications and reports for competent authorities.
-Respond to requests from regulatory authorities promptly and accurately.
Generate ad-hoc AML reports to support compliance monitoring and reporting requirements.
-Participate in ad-hoc projects related to team activities and continuous improvement initiatives within the Compliance function.

Profile Requirements:
-Education: Higher education (university/FH) in law, economics, or equivalent education (e.g., Diploma of Advanced Studies in Compliance Management).
-Experience: Minimum 5 years of practical experience in AML Monitoring and Sanctions within the Swiss banking industry.
-Technical Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office skills are essential. Knowledge of Avaloq is advantageous.
-Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
-Ability to Work Independently: Capable of working autonomously while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
-Work Ethic: Ability to perform effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
-Language Skills: Fluency in French and English is required. Proficiency in German is a plus for effective communication within the team and with clients.
