Job Description

Job Purpose

As a Component Repairs Engineer you will plan and organise End to End processes of unserviceable parts inspection and dispositions, component cost of ownership, engine wing to wing management and in-house capability developments, to deliver efficient operational support to aircraft maintenance at optimal cost.

In this role, you will:



  • Plan, organise, and support respective teams on all topics relating to technical issues impacting the repair and disposal of parts. Initiate Engineering Enquiry Report (EER) to get disposition from Fleet Technical Management (FTM). Engage with cross functional stakeholders as required to effectively manage the domain and support end-to-end planning and control across the process chain.

  • Technically review & evaluate reasons for the parts declared scrap (as per shop finding, modification action etc). Provide disposition based on findings or in accordance with existing bilateral contracts and/or Product Support Agreements (SSC/PSAA) and in-light of any failure trends or reliability issues. Engage internally with FTM, Reliability and Planning etc and externally with supplier and/or aircraft manufacturer to solicit resolution in favour of Emirates.

  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure optimum service and support. Provide regular feedback on projects/performance and escalate any issues where required.

  • Manage the performance and Development of respective team members as per EK policies and procedures



Component & Power Plant Repair Order Administration



  • Review & evaluate Repair Quotations and Warranty Rejections in accordance with existing bilateral contracts and/or Product Support Agreements and in-light of any failure trends or reliability issues.

  • Review technical disposition and failure history of parts declared as rogue and coordinate with supplier in seeking remedies in accordance with bilateral contract, PSAA/SSC or / and special concessions for benefits of Emirates.

  • Manage wing to wing process to ensure smooth and continuous Engine availability to meet the engine change plan and operational support.

  • Review and verify engine documentation including but not limited to Work scope, Module Swaps, Non-Incident Statement, Departure Requests, and Engine Technical Document Package

  • Enable the phase out and end of lease process by ensuring work scope and configuration of the asset (engine, APU, landing gear ad components) are in compliance with contractual terms. Support Engine Procurement/Sourcing team in End Of Lease management by ensuring all scopes and configuration of exit Engines are meeting contractual obligation.


Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Experience in Airline Engineering / Planning / MRO Technical Function: 5+ Years

  • Education: Bachelor'sDegree in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Avionics / Electronic Technology Engineering and/or Maintenance Engineering License.

  • Knowledge / Skills: Industry experience in engineering support services, maintenance or component/ power plant repairs or related environment.
