The Confluent Field Engineer (CFE) plays a crucial role in supporting customer development and operations teams, focusing on accelerating delivery timelines and enhancing self-sufficiency. Responsibilities include providing hands-on coaching and guidance, conducting code and configuration reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, contributing to knowledge asset creation, and facilitating knowledge transfer sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Enablement: Provide coaching and guidance to customer teams to accelerate delivery timelines.
- Assurance: Conduct code and configuration reviews to ensure best practices and optimal performance.
- Debugging Analysis: Troubleshoot and analyze complex issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Knowledge Asset Creation: Contribute to creating technical documentation and best practice guides.
- Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to empower customers to maintain and support solutions independently.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers through effective communication and proactive support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience in a customer-facing role, preferably with Confluent Platform components.
- Proficiency in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
