Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Construction Director to join our team! In this role you will be providing direction and management for construction phases of large projects up to SAR 5B to assure on schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. Delivery of multiple key infrastructure projects through a PMC including roads, interchanges, tunnels, water infrastructure, HV electrical, other utilities and structures, buildings and public realm. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project. Considerable experience at director level in client facing roles is essential, GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience preferred.
What You'll Be Doing
- Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
- Drives the safety culture developing a strong safety ethic within the program
- Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the team to providing quality and timely technical resolutions and management of services that enable achievement of program goals and objectives.
- Establishes assignments for the construction team for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.
- Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
- Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
- Responsible for preparing, implementing and maintaining Construction Management Plan and contributing to the preparation of supporting management plans, including Risk Management, Quality Management, Commissioning Management, Stakeholder Management, etc.
- Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, contractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations.
- Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
- Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
What Required Skills You'll Need
- Requires widely diversified knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.
- Demonstrated effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity is also required, as well as excellent written and oral communications skills
- Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), as well as 20+ years of widely diversified experience (including successful management experience) in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is required.
