Job Purpose
To plan, organize and coordinate the project execution process on site and with the internal departments, to ensure completion of the job within specified timeframes, in an organized and cost effective manner, in accordance with the approved design and quality standards so as to meet customer's satisfaction and maintain continuity of business.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Implement company procedures and project objectives on site including the project takeover from Estimation department to commence work on site and ensure protection of company contractual position at all times.
Establish project construction program, long lead and nomination schedules, drawing and material tracking schedule etc.
Prepare project quality plan, HSE plan and ensure correct implementation of the same as per the ISO manual.
Define project success criteria and develop full-scale project plans and associated communications/documents, effectively control, & disseminate them to involved parties in a timely and clear fashion.
Manage the process of drawings, material requirements, procurement process and subcontractors to meet the project deadlines within allocated budgets. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans with approval from senior management
Conduct / attend site progress meetings with subcontractors / client / consultant, ensure programme adherence, submit project progress reports, flag and resolve any contractual / commercial issues affecting the project progress, inclusive of EOT criteria.
Cost reports to be prepared along with site QS and present monthly site progress reports at cost meetings. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation
Effectively monitor and manage variations or deviations from the BOQ or orders placed and ensure approval by client or PQS, in conjunction with site QS.
Receive and manage snag list from consultant and ensure timely completion of project including close out procedures as stipulated in ISO manual.
Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.
Skills & Experience
Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
7+ years experience in the interiors works with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Experience in handling of all site operations, complete knowledge of design/build/construction and should have managed large commercial value projects independently / with sub contactors for at least 2 3years.
