Job Description
Our client, a prestigious private hospital in Riyadh, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Western-trained Consultant Gastroenterologist (ERCP) to join their esteemed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal diseases and disorders, with a focus on performing Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedures.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP procedures to identify and treat conditions affecting the bile ducts, pancreatic ducts, and gallbladder.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions, ensuring individualized and effective care.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists, to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Provide pre- and post-procedure care, including patient education, follow-up visits, and management of complications.
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting all patient interactions, procedures, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and ERCP techniques through continuing medical education and professional development.
Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal conditions, ERCP procedures, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and professional development activities to enhance patient care and professional growth.
Provide mentorship and training to junior medical staff, including residents and fellows, to foster a culture of excellence in gastroenterology care.
WORKING CONDITION
Working Hours: 48 hours per week, with flexible straight shifts (daytime and night).
Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
Probation Period: 6 months.
Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
Certification by the American Board, Canadian Board, or CCT or CCST from the UK in Gastroenterology and ERCP
Minimum of 3 years of post-certification experience.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary range of SAR 70,000 80,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
