To provide expert consultations as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for complex cases, offer guidance on complex medical issues, and use medical and business expertise to help healthcare facilities improve their processes and achieve greater efficiencies.
Care
- Assess, evaluate, diagnose determination, ongoing treatment, and clinical management, referral for consultation, care planning, medications/therapeutic orders, transfer authorization, risk assessment, and planning for discharge as appropriate for all patients.
- Communicate with the patients and/or their family members the nature and seriousness of the illness, the management plan, and the patient's progress.
- Ensure adequate communication and planning between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and other surgical, medical, or primary care physicians.
- Work within the scope of privileges and competencies of the licensed role.
- On-call service as applicable.
Learning
- Participate in teaching activities, including supervising or precepting students, interns, and residents in patient-care settings, as assigned.
- Provide lectures and non-clinical teaching to students, interns, and residents as assigned.
- Serve as an adviser and mentor to students, interns, and residents.
Discovery
- Identify scholarly opportunities and conduct scholarly activity as assigned (e.g., publications, journal articles, quality improvement projects, clinical research).
- Supervise and support staff and trainees in research as assigned.
- As needed, participate in and attend academic conferences and scientific and clinical meetings to remain abreast of ongoing advances in the medical field.
Service
- Accurate and timely completion of all clinical and professional records and documentation to assure compliance with local and federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
- Serve on committees or attend external meetings, as requested.
- Work to create a positive work culture within cross-departmental teams.
- Work within the rules and regulations of Dubai Health and any regulating authorities.
- Any other assignments related to the nature of the job assigned by the management.

Qualification Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent
- Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine
- License - DHA Regulator
Experience Requirements:
- Sub-specialty in Intensive Care Medicine with an exceptional track record of effective clinical care
- Progressive experience, including physician leadership and mentorship roles
- Academic healthcare experience, including medical education and research, is preferred
