Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of pediatric patients with ophthalmic conditions, including vision and eye health evaluations
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, and other disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient, taking into account their age, medical history, and specific needs
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required, ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient at all times
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians and optometrists, to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on proper eye care and guide on maintaining good eye health
- Keep detailed and accurate medical records and documentation of all treatments and procedures
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and developments in pediatric ophthalmology and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate
Qualifications And Requirements
- Medical degree from a recognized institution
- Residency training in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship or specialized training in Pediatric Ophthalmology
- Active Medical License to practice in Saudi Arabia or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Must be Western-trained
