Job Overview
As a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing specialized surgical care to infants, children, and adolescents. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat and manage various pediatric surgical conditions. This position requires someone with extensive experience and knowledge in pediatric surgery, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations with patients and their families to discuss medical history, symptoms, and treatment options.
- Perform surgical procedures on infants, children, and adolescents with various congenital and acquired surgical conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay updated on new techniques and procedures in the field of pediatric surgery.
- Stay updated on current Saudi Arabia healthcare laws and regulations related to pediatric surgery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pediatric Surgeon
- Saudi Board certification or equivalent in Pediatric Surgery
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Proficient in using technology and medical software
