Junior Content Editor in our office in Amman

The Content Editoris responsible for editing, improving and maintaining content on our Equiti websites. You will be working closely with our Content Manager and Copy and Design teams to achieve our business goals. Your duties will also include monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices.

You should be able to contribute to all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Add new content into multiple Content Management Systems
• Ensure content meets all quality control checks before submitting for approval and publishing, and follows our style guidelines
• Organise, modify and update existing content
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure a user-friendly experience
• Proofread and edit spelling, grammar and syntax
• Liaise with copy writers to ensure brand consistency
• Ensure compliance with law (e.g., copyright, legal and data protection)
• Optimise content according to SEO

Skills & Competencies

• Familiarity with social media, internet functionality and digital media technologies
• Professional writing skills in English
• Attention to detail
• Good organisational and time-management skills

Experience Requirements

• BSc degree in English Literature/Language, Journalism, Marketing or relevant field.
• Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
• Basic knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
• Experience with MS Office and Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Wagtail)
