Job Summary
Accountable for the provision of IT services for the hotel and the day today support of the hotel IT systems and system security measures are in place.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the hotel IT systems are working effectively to maximize the business value and hotel revenue.
- Ability to accomplish any task by working collaboratively with fellow colleagues within or different departments.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of all computer hardware and software at hotel.
- Monitor the performance of the systems and maintain logbook of performance.
- Ensure that all computer media saves, and back-ups are completed, documented, and stored per specifications and maintain uncompromising data and physical security standards.
- Administer all user ID's, passwords, and the most sensitive system utilities, secure all touchy resources and critical libraries under the supervision of the IT Manager.
- Follow-up on all outstanding points from the latest IT audit of his/her hotel under the supervision of IT Manager/Leader.
- Keep up to date with all approved systems and technology including but not limited to computer hardware and networking systems, all hotel applications, software, and security systems.
- To manage and prioritize any IT problems impacting either hotel revenue or guests and provide quick resolutions and backup the IT Manager in day-to-day IT problems.
- Act as primary contact for all hotel computer hardware installations and updates and support related queries.
- Maintains technical and user documentation, system reports, in a neat, orderly, and secure fashion.
- Other ad-hoc duties unexpected moments when needed as a team to get a task done.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- A college diplomadegree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Great communication skills.
- Strong technical skills covering a broad range of systems and technologies.
- A good understanding of Windows Desktop and Microsoft operating systems. Software, administration, configuring of mail systems, system installationconfiguration and installing third party software. Network and computer hardware background.
- Hotel experience in IT operation, and the experience in Opera (PMS and S&C), POS, material control systems and payroll systems.
- Being proactive, responsible, hardworking, and able to work under pressure.
