The Copywriter is responsible for producing clear text for different marketing channels such as websites, print ads and catalogues. This job is responsible for researching keywords, producing interesting written content, and proofreading work for accuracy and quality.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write compelling copy for various mediums (e.g., ads, blog posts, newsletters).
- Conduct thorough research to understand target audiences, market trends, and competitor strategies, ensuring that messaging is relevant and impactful.
- Write clear and error-free content that reflects the groups values.
- Adapt tone, style, and messaging for different platforms and audiences, maintaining consistency while catering to specific channel requirements.
- Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements.
- Meet with internal stakeholders to understand their message, brand voice and target audience. Propose copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and carrying out projects once they are approved.
- Interpret creative direction and technical information and turn them into persuasive copy concepts. Collaborate with marketing teams to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials.
- Edit and proofread copy as needed.
- Use Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) principles to maximize copy's reach.
- Source images and other content.
- Work with stakeholders to edit and modify copy, to meet their content expectations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting and digital marketing and apply this knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of our campaigns.
- Uphold company values throughout business practices and use sound judgment in decision making.
- Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience producing copy for print and digital media channels. Proven experience in producing copy for advertising or marketing campaigns.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Relevant bachelor's degree in related field.
