Responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication and narrative for the group, that enhance the reputation, brand awareness and visibility of the group. Will Work closely with our media partners and PR agencies across MEA to create and maintain a leadership position for the organization and its products and services.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute public relations strategies that align with the organization's vision, mission, and goals
Create and maintain a positive media image for the organization and its products or services Write, edit, and proofread press releases, media kits, newsletters, social media content, and other promotional materials
Monitor and analyze the media coverage and public perception of the organization and its competitors in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Identify and cultivate relationships with key media outlets, journalists, influencers, partners, and clients via our partners and/or directly
Organize and coordinate media events, press conferences, interviews, and other public relations activities
Prepare and coach spokespersons and executives for media appearances and interviews
Manage the public relations budget and track the return on investment of public relations campaigns
Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in public relations and communication
Manage relationships with the external agencies and consultancies providing specialist input and support to the marketing effort. This includes but is not limited to Public Relations and Digital Advertising Agencies.
Ensure regular alignments and reporting with internal stakeholders on open initiatives, progress to target KPIs, and upcoming activities.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communication, journalism, or a related field.
Languages:
English and Arabic are a must, French and any other regional languages are preferrable.
Experience
Banking, Payments and Financial services background is preferred, with relevant knowledge of Fintech products value propositions and familiarity with technical content.
At least five years of experience in public relations, preferably in a senior or managerial role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and team management skills
Creative and strategic thinking skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of media relations, social media, and digital marketing tools and platforms
Familiarity with the industry and the target audience of the organization
Attention to detail and quality standards
Additional Skills:
Ability to understand complex processes and technologies, and translate into simple concepts (written, graphical, and verbal)
Great writing and communication skills - an ability to understand technical concepts and translate to market-level comms in collaboration with our business partners and partner agencies.
Teamwork mindset and good organization and time management skills.
Great Presentation skills with advanced knowledge of office management tools and applications
