Bank of Jordan, one of the leading financial institutions in Jordan, is seeking a skilled Corporate Credit Review Officer to join our team. As a Corporate Credit Review Officer, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness and risk of our corporate clients. You will be responsible for conducting thorough credit reviews of existing and potential borrowers, analyzing their financial statements, loan documents, and credit history to evaluate their ability to repay loans and manage risks.
Working closely with the credit risk management team, you will provide insightful recommendations for credit decisions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Your expertise in credit analysis and risk assessment, combined with your attention to detail and critical thinking skills, will contribute to the overall objective of maintaining a high-quality credit portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit reviews of corporate clients, including analyzing financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of borrowers by assessing their financial stability, credit histories, and ability to repay loans
- Review loan documents, collateral, and other relevant information to assess the overall risk associated with lending to corporate clients
- Provide recommendations for credit decisions and suggest appropriate credit terms and conditions
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements
- Identify and mitigate credit risks by monitoring market trends and industry developments
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as relationship managers and loan officers, to assess credit risk and propose risk mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably in corporate banking
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques and credit risk assessment
- Experience in reviewing and analyzing financial statements, cash flow analysis, and business valuations
- Knowledge of local banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to make sound credit decisions and provide well-founded recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
