Develop and monitor project budgets involves creating detailed cost estimates for all project activities, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Monitor actual expenditures against the budget and identify any variances.
Analyze cost variances: investigate the reasons for cost overruns or underruns and recommend corrective actions to keep the project within budget.
Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors: may be involved in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to budget constraints. Prepare cost reports: generate regular reports for management that track project costs, identify cost trends, and forecast potential future expenditures.
Implement cost-saving measures: proactively identify opportunities to reduce project costs without compromising quality or scope.
Qualifications :
Engineering background
7+ years experience: In cost control with associated tools and programs especially in Power Plant Projects.
Computer Skills: Experience in Microsoft Office Programs, Power BI and P6 is a plus.
