Coordinate and lead a team of Cost Engineers to undertake project cost control functions. Supports project organizational and administrative activities. Responsible for cost analysis/control activities for discipline/project estimating or staff planning activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides comments and recommendations for cost control requirements relative to staffing and Prepares detailed staffing plans for cost control activities.
- Conducts personnel performance reviews when delegated. Interviews candidates and makes recommendations for employment decisions.
- Defines project needs for cost control in accordance with established procedures, Objectives, and client contractual requirements. Establishes format and content of summaries and reconciliations. Develops innovative new techniques to meet specific needs, as required.
- Supervises the timely collection, invoicing, verification, and integration of work scope for all entities into a total project plan.
- Prepare the integrated financial plan and cash flow for the whole company (projects and departments) and update it quarterly.
- Prepares and analyzes comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between the projects. Prepares or supervises the preparation of cost studies utilizing historical data, cost and quantity comparisons, and statistical analysis. Assists in developing unit job hours/costs for a specific discipline or other specialty.
- Supervises cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards and procedures. Supervises and is responsible for the development and accuracy of cost analysis and forecast reports. Supervises the timely performance of cost control activities within the project(s). Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility.
- Identify problems in respect of cost overruns and cash deficits and propose recommendations to overcome such problems and supervise its implementation.
- Participates in developing and presenting training classes on designated subjects and on-the-job training for specific processes and practices.
Job Requirements:
- B.Sc. of Engineering preferably Electrical/Mechanical
- Contractor background, preferably in the Industrial field (Power Generation, Substation, Oil & Gas, Water treatment plants, Factories, etc.
- Minimum 10 to 13 years of experience includes Min. 6 years in Cost Control/Project Controls
