The role

To conduct component overhauls as directed by the support engineer. He will also be required to mobilize offshore to client sites as required for ADHOC projects.

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

  • Repair, maintenance & test of cranes & lifting equipment inc. but not limited to hook blocks, balls & swivels, overload protection units, and spooler units
  • Conduct independently offshore crane condition evaluations
  • Provide accurate identification of all components, report on conditions and provide sufficient information to order correct spare parts
  • Ensure workshop is kept clean & tidy and all company equipment is kept in good order
  • Ensure project requirements are met within the time allowed
  • Ensure constant improvement of safety, performance, and quality standards
  • Ensure all ongoing work is correctly risk assessed and identify/action new assessments
  • Work as part of a team with other departments
  • Uphold the standards of the company and work in line with the company's objectives

Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical operations or maintenance, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Mechanical diploma or equivalent (SVQ, city & guilds etc.)
  • 5 years in a lifting equipment environment
  • Experience in repair & maintenance of cranes related equipment
  • Experience in working to schedules

Preferred


  • At least vocational/technical High School Diploma Holder
  • Safety Training Certificates
  • Experience the offshore service industry or similar environment
  • Experience in cranes & lifting equipment maintenance & repair
