Role Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Creative Director to lead our creative team in Sulaymaniyah/Iraq. The ideal candidate is responsible for the creative output through leading the creative team and creative processes, the ideation, presentation and execution of client branding and marketing communication campaigns, all in fulfillment of our brand promise to our clients.
Service Scope:
Creative Process:
- Leads the creative process as a leader of a creative team.
- Co-leads the unified creative/account management process in order to execute on client projects an ultimately responsible for all the creative outcome of the agency and its audio and production.
- Plans, develops and defends budget recommendations, work goals, measurements and training requirements necessary to provide both profitable and quality service to clients.
Ideas Generation:
- Works with a creative team member to develop a creative concept/idea in accordance to the creative brief, and to further outline its execution.
Creative Function:
- Ensures the creative function operates in an efficient, profitable manner.
- Directs the creative function so that the environment, culture, team, capabilities, tools, process, expectations, work style and other elements support the strategic goals and brands of Saatchi.
- Facilitates and promotes corporate initiatives and values throughout the function.
- Keeps the account and creative team leaders aware of the use of outside services and materials to assure timely billing and to minimize write-offs.
- Participates in the new business efforts as directed.
Team Management:
- Ensures professional development and readiness of the creative team.
- Trains and supervises assigned staff of writers, artists, production and traffic personnel; oversees their execution of all creative efforts to insure they are on strategy, on budget, and on schedule.
- Provides leadership/motivation and conveys the vision and values of the agency to staff.
- Recommends staffing and compensation changes.
- Assures the staff adheres to established agency policy/procedures, with special emphasis on the purchase of outside services.
Quality of client projects:
- Ensures that our creative product remains leading edge and ahead of our competition
- Ensures that our high quality of creative and production is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards of him/herself and others on the team
- Delivers strategic communication solutions that help our clients attain their marketing and communications objective.
- Listens, asks, hears, prioritizes and translates client situation, marketing goals and information into strategic brand concepts, voice, messages and rationales
- Oversees creative consultation along with brand director and client servicing director
Client Relationships:
- Maintains external professional relationships to assure the on-going availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers and reputable studios/producers when their services are required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar creative leadership role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative expertise across various media
- Exceptional team management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
