The Job in a Nutshell
The purpose of this role is to support the Hala cybersecurity defense function. The function is responsible for helping ensure Hala can effectively detect and respond to cybersecurity attacks. This includes coordination with the relevant vendors for SOC, SIEM, EPP, NDR, and other security tools related to detecting and responding to a cybersecurity incident. The role requires coordination across departments to ensure Hala is able to effectively limit the impact of a cyber incident through an effective and expedient response.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate with the technology and service provider vendors for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Operations Center (SOC), Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR).
- Ensure vendors are implementing and operating the controls effectively through monitoring Service Level Agreements, Key performance Indicators, and having weekly meetings to track implementation progress and operational performance.
- Coordinate with the defense manager to prepare cybersecurity incident playbooks across departments.
- Perform table top exercises for cyber threat scenarios across Hala in coordination with the cyber defense manager.
- Monitor cyber events and incidents through platforms including the email gateway, web gateway, data loss prevention platform, brand protection service, and others.
- Lead the investigation, response, and mitigation of a cyber attack in coordination with the Hala stakeholders and vendors and partners as relevant.
- Assist in all compliance activities related to demonstrating regulatory compliance in the area of cyber defense and incident response.
What Are We Looking For
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity
- +3years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably within fintech or financial services.
- Advanced knowledge of compliance and regulations.
- Experience in SIEM, EPP, DLP etc
- Advanced knowledge of SIEM, SOC, and Cyber incident response
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
