The D&T Solution Lead Manufacturing will serve as the primary contact for all digital transformation efforts within the manufacturing, engineering, and quality sectors. This role is responsible for designing and implementing advanced OT solutions that streamline and optimize industrial processes, enhancing productivity and efficiency. The D&T Solution Lead will ensure the seamless integration of OT systems with existing infrastructure, facilitating smooth operations, and minimizing disruptions while adhering to best practices in IT and OT integration. A key responsibility will be to develop and enforce strong security measures to safeguard OT systems against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Additionally, the role requires ensuring that OT systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies to maintain system integrity and protect organizational assets.
Key Accountabilities
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute the multiyear strategic roadmap for OT technology in alignment with organizational goals
- Lead a Partner team of OT professionals, including engineers and analysts, providing mentorship and guidance
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of OT systems with enterprise technology
Solution Design and Development:
- Lead the design and development of OT solutions that align with business requirements and operational goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, gather requirements, and develop customized solutions
- Ensure that OT solutions are scalable, dependable, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems
Project Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of OT projects, including planning, execution, and deployment
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to achieve project objectives on schedule and within scope as per dev-ops/agile principles
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and address any project-related issues
System Implementation and Optimization:
- Supervise the deployment and configuration of OT systems, including hardware and software components
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure systems meet operational requirements and performance standards
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in the development and integration of OT solutions
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for OT systems, including architecture, configurations, and user manuals
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect OT systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies related to OT systems
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to maintain system integrity and security
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Function as the primary point of contact for OT solution-related inquiries and support
- Engage with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful solution deployment and integration
- Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate effective utilization of OT solutions
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational performance
- Evaluate modern technologies and tools that could be leveraged to advance OT capabilities and drive efficiency
Functional Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; master's degree or relevant certifications preferred
- 10+ Years of experience in operational technology, industrial automation, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing and leading OT technology projects and teams
- Strong understanding of OT systems, including SCADA, MES, DCS, PLCs, and industrial networking
- Experience with cybersecurity principles and practices relevant to OT environments
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Strong Project Delivery experience using dev ops and agile methodology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Relevant certifications (e.g., 4.0, CISSP, CISM, or industry-specific certifications) are a plus
