Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a D3.js Developer. The D3.js Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing data visualizations using D3.js library. They will collaborate with a team of developers and data scientists to create interactive and intuitive visualizations that effectively communicate complex data. The D3.js Developer will also contribute to the development of new features and enhancements, and ensure the scalability and performance of the visualizations.
Qualifications
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong experience with D3.js library and data visualization concepts
- Understanding of data manipulation and transformation techniques
- Familiarity with SVG and Canvas rendering
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with other data visualization libraries/frameworks (e.g., Chart.js, Highcharts) is a plus
Analytical and Design Skills
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret data to create meaningful visualizations.
- Visualization Principles: Understanding of data visualization principles and best practices to create clear, informative, and aesthetically pleasing visualizations.
- User Experience (UX) Design: Basic knowledge of UX design to ensure visualizations are intuitive and user-friendly.
- Responsive Design: Ability to create responsive visualizations that work well on various devices and screen sizes.
