Overview
The Darkstore Temporary Staff role is a crucial part of our logistics and operations team, particularly for those who hold their own visas. As a part of this dynamic position, staff will support the efficient management and operations of our darkstore, a facility designed specifically for online order fulfillment. This role directly impacts our customer satisfaction and delivery performance by ensuring that orders are processed accurately and on time. Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks from order picking, packing, to inventory control, ensuring that every operation runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders according to established guidelines.
- Conducting regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy.
- Assisting in receiving and processing incoming stock shipments.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the darkstore workspace.
- Collaborating with team members to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Communicating any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Following safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Preparing orders for dispatch and ensuring timely delivery.
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as required.
- Updating inventory records with accurate data entry.
- Supporting the training of new staff members on processes and procedures.
- Participating in team meetings to discuss performance improvements.
- Adapting to changes in workload and responsibilities as needed.
- Assisting in the implementation of operational changes to improve efficiency.
- Providing excellent customer service during order fulfillment processes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid visa allowing employment in the region.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse or inventory management desired.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes highly advantageous.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Experience with inventory management software or tools a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach.
