JOB DESCRIPTION
- Data Collection & Analysis:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple internal systems (e.g., POS, ERP, CRM, e-commerce platforms) to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Perform detailed analyses to support various departments including sales, marketing, and operations, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
- Analyze customer behavior data to identify opportunities for personalized marketing strategies and customer experience improvements.
- Reporting & Visualization:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and other business metrics.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to key stakeholders, ensuring insights are presented in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Generate ad-hoc reports to address specific business questions or challenges.
- Business Insights & Strategy:
- Identify areas for improvement across business functions, such as inventory management, product pricing, and marketing effectiveness, and provide data-backed recommendations.
- Use data to support decision-making on key business initiatives such as product launches, promotional strategies, and regional expansion.
- Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to define data needs and support their analytics requirements.
- Data Quality & Integrity:
- Ensure high levels of data accuracy and consistency by regularly auditing datasets and resolving discrepancies.
- Work with IT and engineering teams to improve data collection processes, ensuring the smooth flow of data across business systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with teams such as e-commerce, marketing, and product management to understand their analytical needs and deliver relevant data insights.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders requiring support on data-related issues and ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical teams
Key Requirements:
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods industries.
- Strong experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting, with a proven ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python or R for data manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from large datasets.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with A/B testing.
- General:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic business setting.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in retail or fashion industry analytics is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and experience with data warehousing systems (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake).
- Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning models is advantageous but not required.
