Data Analyst

Job Purpose:

Responsible to identify measure, accumulate, analyze, prepare, interpret and communicate the financial, business and market information and data for Large Corporate and mSMEs. As a Data Analyst, he/she will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining data marts, creating interactive dashboards in Power BI, and utilizing your expertise in SQL, VBA, and Python scripting to unlock valuable insights from complex datasets. Additionally, possession of Microsoft certifications related to Office 365, Power BI, and Azure Fundamentals will be advantageous. Your ability to develop compelling presentations and reports will be instrumental in communicating key business insights and performance metrics. A strong knowledge of Office 365 apps will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Data Mart Design and Development: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other teams to understand data requirements. Design and develop new data marts that cater to specific business needs, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and relevance.

2. Data Mart Maintenance: Monitor the performance of existing data marts, proactively identifying areas for improvement and optimizing data structures. Ensure the smooth functioning of data mart processes to support critical banking operations.

3. Interactive Dashboard Creation: Utilize Power BI to create visually appealing and interactive dashboards. Transform complex data sets into meaningful visualizations, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

4. SQL, VBA, and Python Scripting: Leverage your proficiency in SQL, VBA, and Python scripting to extract, transform, and analyze data from diverse sources. Automate data processes to streamline data management and reporting tasks.

5. Microsoft Certifications: Possessing Microsoft certifications related to Office 365, Power BI, and Azure Fundamentals will be considered an advantage, demonstrating your expertise in these tools and technologies.

6. Presentations and Reports: Develop engaging presentations and reports to communicate relevant business insights, performance metrics, and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.

7. Office 365 Knowledge: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Office 365 apps to efficiently collaborate, share information, and leverage the full suite of productivity tools available at EDB.

8. Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in the banking datasets. Collaborate with business analysts to interpret findings and drive strategic decision-making.

9. Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies, industry regulations, and data privacy standards to safeguard sensitive information and maintain data integrity.
