Job Purpose:
In a Data & Analytics Driven Organization, our aim is to revolutionize the Bank into a Data Driven Organization (DDO) by leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies in the data space. The Data team, a component of the One Data Organization, spearheads this initiative for the function.
Develop, design, and maintain business intelligence solutions, encompassing data analytics platforms and reporting tools.
Interpret business requirements into technical specifications and generate visualizations and reports.
Manage a team of BI developers, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Our primary focus spans across various platforms such as Enterprise Data Lake, Azure Data Lake, Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Real-time Streaming platforms.
This role entails creating new requirements across on-premises, estimating efforts, and designing effective solutions. Additionally, it involves managing critical applications that impact the bank's management decision-making process, regulatory reporting (which can result in financial/non-financial penalties), and operational reporting.
KRA:
- Reporting Architecture Design: Primarily responsible for crafting and maintaining the reporting architecture, including the translation of intricate functional, technical, and business requirements into architectural blueprints.
- Business Focused Deliveries: Successfully developed a scalable and robust data visualization platform aligned with organizational strategic tools and technologies.Created and managed scalable Business Intelligence Solutions for Risk, Compliance, and Client Experience (CX) Digitalization. Demonstrated adeptness in understanding clients needs and resolving their business challenges. Proficient in requirement gathering, scoping, stakeholder consensus building, Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) formulation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), demos, training, and Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Reporting Server Administration: Implemented high-value solutions and conducted administrative tasks across a multi-hybrid environment reporting infrastructure, utilizing both on-premises and cloud servers.
- Team Leadership and Management: Offered thought leadership, best practices, and standards necessary for delivering effective reporting solutions. Managed a cross-functional team of data engineers and analysts to execute strategic data and analytics projects.
- Infrastructure Improvement & Maintenance: Conducted upgrades, installed new reporting clusters, configured security roles, implemented attribute-based access control, and executed security authorization at various levels.
- Performance Optimization, Data Quality, and Governance: Revamped existing data models and architecture to enhance performance and ensure data quality and governance. Participated in design reviews aligning with business segments.
- Version Upgrades and Integration: Stayed updated with the latest technological trends and integrated new versions/upgrades and frameworks to enhance reporting solutions.
- Collaboration with Application End Users: Collaborated with application analysts and end users of reports/dashboards to analyze requirements, provide specifications, and document projects.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Conducted error handling, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications in the Production environment without compromising uptime and service delivery.
- Scalability and Resilience: Ensured the data engineering infrastructure's scalability with increasing data volume and resilience against failures by designing for high availability and fault tolerance.
- Security and Compliance: Worked closely with Information Security Group (ISG) and Vendor Management (VM) team to ensure reporting security and compliance with relevant data and reporting regulations and industry best practices. Implemented access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms as required.
