Data Architecture & Modeling Manager

Overall, Job Purpose: The Data Architect Manager oversees the design, implementation, and management of data architecture strategies. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to ensure data is effectively utilized across the organization.

Job Description

- Develop and maintain data architecture frameworks and standards.

- Design scalable and efficient data models to support business needs.

- Ensure data integration across various platforms and systems.

- Lead a team of data architects and engineers and Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.

- Communicate data architecture strategies to stakeholders with Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align data initiatives with organizational goals.

- Establish data governance policies and best practices with data governance team.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and standards with data security team.

- Monitor data quality and integrity across the organization with data quality team.

- Identify and implement data performance improvement initiatives.

- Utilize analytics to drive data-driven decision-making with data analytics team.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture processes.

- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.

Position Requirements

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Special Certification or Training Required: - Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Required Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related fields. And 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Technological Requirements:
• Demonstrated proficiency in data governance tools and software, including data cataloging, metadata management, and data quality tools.
• Familiarity with data security technologies and practices.
• Proficient in data modeling tools and techniques.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
