In this role, you will be responsible for
Plan and conduct internal reviews to measure the compliance with data controls and standards on a periodic basis.
Provide recommendations to raise the level of compliance to the NDMO regulations.
Periodically assess the maturity of data management domains across STA in alignment with NDMO requirements and NDI criteria, and provide recommendations and improvements to raise the level of maturity.
Prepare periodic reports on compliance level with NDMO regulations, progress status, and the needed support and recommendations, to be presented to the Data Governance Committee, and for submission to NDMO as planned.
Document the needed records and logs for the findings of the periodic compliance reviews and corrective actions.
Follow-up on the implementation of corrective measures related to NDMO regulations and report any challenges to the management.
Review and reflect any required changes related to data governance policies and standards ensuring alignment with any update in the national regulations.
Escalate any compliance issues, and departments non-adherence to data management standards and controls to the management as needed.
Conduct thorough research to remain informed about cutting-edge global and local data governance best practices.
Undertake any other tasks assigned to DGO or the role itself within its area of expertise.
Perform other activities as and when required.
