Job Purpose:
Jordan Ahli Bank is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, construct, and maintain our Data Warehouse and Data Lake House. This role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and various stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of data from its sources to its destination. You will also be responsible for preparing the necessary infrastructure to build dashboards and reports as requested by business owners.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data architectures.
- Create and implement data models for storage and processing.
- Build robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
- Optimize and tune data pipelines for efficiency and reliability.
- Administer and manage databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
- Implement and maintain database schemas, tables, and indexes.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure compatibility and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data integration requirements.
- Implement data quality checks and ensure data governance standards are met.
- Collaborate with data stewards to establish and enforce data quality policies.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of data systems, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
- Implement optimization strategies for improved system efficiency.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate data engineering solutions with broader organizational goals
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data architectures and data pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong expertise in ETL processes and data integration.
- Proficiency in database administration and management.
- Experience in implementing data quality checks and data governance practices.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data systems for performance.
