The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Privacy and Protection Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have deep understanding of Global Data Protection Laws and Regulations, particularly the GDPR. You will play a key role in helping our large enterprise client(s) navigate the ever-evolving landscape of data privacy regulations, with a specific focus on the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
With a minimum of five years of experience, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our client(s) complies with relevant data privacy standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of organization's data privacy and protection policies in alignment with GDPR, PDPL and other relevant regulations.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection issues and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate these risks.
Create and update privacy policies, notices, and procedures to ensure compliance with corresponding data privacy and protection regulations.
Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness about data privacy and protection across the organization.
Advise clients on data breach notification and incident response procedures. And provide ongoing guidance and support to clients on data privacy and protection matters.
Act as the primary advisor for data privacy matters, providing expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders on best practices and compliance requirements.
Conduct regular audits and compliance checks to ensure ongoing adherence to data protection policies and regulations.
Stay informed about new and emerging data privacy laws and regulations and adjust company policies accordingly.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in law, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data privacy and protection within a large enterprise environment.
Certifications:
Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe or US (CIPP/E pr US)Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Familiarity with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) is highly desirable.Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and training abilities.
Proficient in Arabic (preferable) and English.

Proven track record in managing data privacy projects.
Familiarity with data protection tools and technologies.
