Data Privacy & Protection Lead

Job Purpose:

As a Data Privacy & Protection Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the organization's compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. You will be leading the development, implementation, and maintaining data privacy policies and procedures, as well as providing guidance on data privacy issues to various stakeholders across the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1- Lead the process of creating and updating Data Privacy and Protection policies, procedures, processes, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., PDPL, NCA, etc.).

2-Conduct privacy assessments such as Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA)/Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA), Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA), etc. to identify potential privacy risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

3-Lead the development and delivering training programs on Data Privacy & Protection best practices for employees at all levels to promote a culture of privacy.

4-Lead the department collaboration with IT, legal, and business units to ensure that Data Privacy considerations are integrated into projects, processes, and systems.

5-Prepare reports for senior management detailing compliance status, privacy incidents, and risk assessments.

6-Assist in the implementation of security measures and controls, such as access controls, encryption, and data classification, to protect sensitive information.

7-Monitor and measure the performance of Data Privacy aspects like Consent Management, Subject Rights Management, Breach Management, Data Classification, ROPA, and Third-Party Impact Assessment.

8-Any other related tasks that might be assigned by high management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in law, information security, computer science, or a related.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) are preferred.
