Position Overview
Data Analyst provides professional data science to capitalize on the information that is confined in vast amounts of data and supports the company to make empirical data driven decisions. Primary focus is on application of internal data mining and machine learning techniques, data quality improvement and automated errors detection systems, statistical analysis, development of internal A/B testing procedures, development of the business intelligence tool, high quality prediction systems that are integrated with Enterprise Asset Management System.
Roles and Responsibility
- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques;
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods;
- Creating prediction systems for performance improvements;
- Extending company's data by integrating information from third party sources when needed;
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems;
- Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis;
- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner;
- Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance;
- Creating A/B testing procedures for performance enhancements;
- Performs a variety of administrative and data entry tasks in support of maintenance teams;
- Works under the instruction of the Head of Fleet Reliability & Standards Manager.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills And Experience
Academic Qualifications:
- Diploma in Information Science or equivalent
Professional Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms;
- Experience with common data science toolkits;
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Tableu or similar;
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL;
- Experience with NoSQL databases;
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.;
- Good scripting and programming skills.
Experience
- At least 5 years in relevant industry experience
Other Skills
- Great communication skills.
- English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work with multiple teams at all levels and personalities, in cross-cultural teams.
- Data-oriented personality.
