EGID is a subsidiary company fully owned by the Egyptian Exchange that has been providing world-class trading data and applications for more than twenty years. EGID owns and operates its own world-class data center that provides colocation and hosting services. The data center is built according to the most recent standards available, put into operation in 2012 and currently hosting more than 120 clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role located in New Cairo that involves some remote work. The Database Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing EGID's databases in order to ensure the highest levels of performance and availability. The role also involves database design, troubleshooting, and replication.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in database administration, troubleshooting, and database design
  • Experience with databases, particularly Oracle and SQL Server
  • Experience with database replication technologies
  • Knowledge of database security and backup procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Relevant certification in database administration is also a plus.
