Job Purpose:
- Responsible for providing hospitality at sea by assisting guests with any request during their stay on board & ensure vessel interior/exteriors standards.
- Welcoming the guest on board the vessel, assists customers with all needs, provide refreshment and ensure providing on-boarding entertainment program and complies with any ad-hoc requests as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Functional/Technical Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests on board, providing them with information about the vessel, its amenities, and the surrounding area
- Anticipate guest needs and take proactive steps to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
- Maintain the cleanliness of all interior areas of the vessel, including guest cabins, common areas, and crew quarters
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed, keeping up with the high standards of cleanliness expected of a luxury vessel
- Serve meals and drinks to guests, ensuring that all dietary restrictions and preferences are accommodated
- Stock supplies and provisions as needed, taking inventory of items on a regular basis
- Help guests with any questions or requests they may have, whether related to the vessel or not
- Act as a liaison between guests and other members of the crew, relaying messages as needed
- Assist in the preparation and execution of onboard events and activities
- Help maintain the vessel's exterior, including cleaning and polishing surfaces
- Monitor the vessel's systems and report any issues to the captain or first mate
- Always adhere to all safety protocols, in accordance with company policy and maritime law
- Maintaining inventory levels of food and drinks, including ordering new supplies as needed
- Providing first aid and medical assistance to guests as needed
- Taking inventory of all food and beverage supplies on board the yacht at the start of each trip, and restocking supplies as needed throughout the trip
- Helping with deck work including cleaning and polishing surfaces, scrubbing the hull, or organizing storage areas
- Participating in safety drills, lifeboat training, and other emergency procedures
- Greeting guests upon arrival and departure, as well as during social events onboard the yacht
- Preparing food and drink orders for guests, including preparing special dishes upon request
- Making sure that cabins are always clean and orderly, and that guests have everything they need while on board
- Help prepare vessel for guest & staff boarding and departure, which can include light cleaning of seats, seat-pockets, floor, etc.
- Communicate with our Customers to keep them constantly informed about trip info
- Assist Customers with special needs, e.g., Customers who need assistance in boarding
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department's systems, processes and practices considering international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Job Requirements:
- High school, diploma or equivalent.
- +2 years experience in hospitality or equivalent.
- Must hold valid STCW certificate or equivalent.
- Must hold VHF Radio Operation certificate or equivalent.
- Must hold valid Powerboat Level 2 certificate or equivalent.
- Security awareness training
- Fulfill all the requirements of Boarder guard marine craft driving license, including
- Familiar with the law of preventing collision at sea, seamanship, and marine aids.
- Familiar with the operation and maintenance of maritime machines/engines
- Familiar with how to use the navigational lights
- Excellent communication skills (Arabic & English)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Complete fluency in written and spoken English
- Must be able to adhere to RSG grooming standards
- Proficiency in swimming.
- Minimum age 21.
