Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant. The candidate must beMOH/DHA Registered and Licensed. They must possess at least (1) year of UAE work experience. The dental assistant will be responsible for preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and some dental hygiene tasks.
Responsibilities
- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
- Assisting dentist and dental hygienists with procedures this include handing instruments, maintaining a clear field of vision and offering suction or irrigation.
- Providing great patient care. Responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics.
- Educate patients on proper hygiene practices, offer guidance on post treatment care.
- Collecting and recording medical, dental histories, patient vital signs and taking consent of every procedure to be done.
- Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Maintenance and upkeep of dental equipment ensuring functionality and safety.
- Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
- Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- MOH/DHA License (or Eligibility) as a Dental Assistant (mandatory).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
