We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia, focusing on the design and development of Medium Voltage Switchgear systems adhering to IEC standards. As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the engineering process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and compliant switchgear solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Design: Review customer requirements and specifications to develop engineering designs for medium voltage switchgear systems. Produce equipment layout drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), three-line diagrams, and section views according to project timelines.
- Technical Specifications: Define technical specifications for product components, ensuring compatibility with international standards (IEC). Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Elecdes to create detailed schematics and layouts.
- Procurement Support: Assist in initiating procurement activities for raw materials and components necessary for switchgear manufacturing. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with production and quality teams to address design issues and improve overall design quality. Ensure that engineering designs comply with relevant industry standards and customer requirements.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth project execution. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any technical queries or concerns.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and optimize manufacturing processes. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in switchgear technology.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate documentation of engineering designs, including drawings, documents, and BOMs. Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Medium Voltage Switchgear design within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Elecdes) for schematic design and layout.
- Knowledge of international technical standards (IEC) related to medium voltage switchgear.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
