About the position: The Designer is a creative collaborator that will be contributing to the interior product selection and specification documentation with a worldwide team of professionals.
We are looking for a candidate who are eager to learn and contribute to an interior design team focused on international hotel and resort development.
Qualifications
Proficient In: Adobe Suites, Hand Sketching AutoCad, Photoshop, and InDesign
Well rounded experience in FF&A specifications, space planning, as well as design development, construction documentation and construction administration
Strong written, oral and visual communication skills
Good collaboration skills, organized and able to work in a team environment
An interest in changing trends in design
Requires Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from accredited school
Hospitality, Architecture or Interior Design experience preferred
Licensed or pursuing license in interior design a plus
Once you are here you will:
Work closely with Project Leads & Lead Designers through all phases of Design, from Schematic Presentation to Construction Documents
Production of drawings, including technical and coordination issues
Involved in the managing of correspondence among all design team members and overseas offices
Assist Designers, Interior architects, CAD Operators and Spec Dept. (All tasks will allow intern to become exposed to the roles of each of these design team members.)
Contributing to the production of schematic design presentations (Coloring Plans, organizing finish boards, etc.)
Play a role in the Pin-Up process
Updating and maintaining the design library and meeting with sales reps.
