Provide a high standard of nursing service according to hospital policy.
Monitor medication preparation, ensure safe handling of drugs and medicines, and report any medication errors.
Provide guidance to staff as necessary, both verbally and in writing, with required documentation in accordance with hospital policy.
Request necessary supplies and equipment for roles and ensure staff handle and transport equipment and tools correctly to ensure efficient and effective use of materials and equipment.
Ensure accurate and regular patient assessments and re-assessments according to dialysis management protocols.
Ensure proper sterilization application for all equipment and supervise cleaning and disinfection of dialysis machines between patients.
Identify emergencies and implement corrective actions effectively.
Keep updated records of all regular patients to monitor their progress.
Supervise environmental health within the unit in collaboration with support services.
Monitor the water purification process and maintain documentation.
Participate in the orientation of new staff to the unit, learn new clinical practices, and ensure safe practices for all nursing staff.
Investigate and resolve complaints, provide guidance to staff, and refer unusual issues to supervisors.
Prepare monthly staff schedules.
Coordinate patient transfers in and out of the unit with other departments.
Ensure hospital policies and procedures are up-to-date and adhered to.
Responsible for role orientation in collaboration with the Clinical Trainer.
